Quickstart

Connect your app to Warid and send your first WhatsApp message.

Warid gives your app a business's WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, plus an AI agent that replies to their customers. Here's the shortest path to a working integration.

Using a coding agent?
Give it https://warid.chat/llms.txt and ask it to add "Connect with Warid" to your app. It's the whole guide in one file.

1. Create an app

In Warid, open Developers → Your apps → Create app. Add a name, a logo and your callback URL. Copy the Client ID and Client secret.

2. Add a "Connect with Warid" button

The button sends people to Warid to approve your app. It's standard OAuth, so any OAuth library works:

HTTP
https://warid.chat/oauth/authorize  ?response_type=code  &client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID  &redirect_uri=YOUR_CALLBACK  &state=RANDOM  &code_challenge=CHALLENGE  &code_challenge_method=S256

3. Get a token

Warid sends the user back to your callback with a code. Swap it for a token on your server:

HTTP
POST https://api.warid.chat/oauth/tokenContent-Type: application/json {  "grant_type": "authorization_code",  "code": "CODE",  "redirect_uri": "YOUR_CALLBACK",  "code_verifier": "VERIFIER",  "client_id": "YOUR_CLIENT_ID",  "client_secret": "YOUR_SECRET"}

Save the access_token and refresh_token with your user.

4. Send a message

HTTP
POST https://api.warid.chat/api/v1/messagesAuthorization: Bearer ACCESS_TOKENContent-Type: application/json {  "channelId": "CHANNEL_ID",  "to": "+9647701234567",  "template": {"name": "hello_world", "language": "en_US"}}

Get the channelId from GET https://api.warid.chat/api/v1/channels. That's it: the message is on its way.
