Quickstart
Connect your app to Warid and send your first WhatsApp message.
Warid gives your app a business's WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and website chat, plus an AI agent that replies to their customers. Here's the shortest path to a working integration.
1. Create an app
In Warid, open Developers → Your apps → Create app. A few short steps ask for a name and logo, the channels your app uses, its permissions and your callback URL (details). Copy the Client ID and Client secret.
2. Add a "Connect with Warid" button
The button sends people to Warid to approve your app. It's standard OAuth, so any OAuth library works:
https://warid.chat/oauth/authorize ?response_type=code &client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID &redirect_uri=YOUR_CALLBACK &state=RANDOM &code_challenge=CHALLENGE &code_challenge_method=S2563. Get a token
Warid sends the user back to your callback with a code. Swap it for a token on your server:
POST https://api.warid.chat/oauth/tokenContent-Type: application/json { "grant_type": "authorization_code", "code": "CODE", "redirect_uri": "YOUR_CALLBACK", "code_verifier": "VERIFIER", "client_id": "YOUR_CLIENT_ID", "client_secret": "YOUR_SECRET"}Save the access_token and refresh_token with your user.
4. Send a message
POST https://api.warid.chat/api/v1/messagesAuthorization: Bearer ACCESS_TOKENContent-Type: application/json { "channelId": "CHANNEL_ID", "to": "+9647701234567", "template": {"name": "hello_world", "language": "en_US"}}Get the channelId from GET https://api.warid.chat/api/v1/channels: your app only gets the numbers the business picked for it. That's it: the message is on its way.
